1998-02-18: A320 CDN954 & E120 BRASILIA OEL1927 - OEL1927 WAS IN FINAL FOR RWY 24R. CDN954 WAS VECTORED BEHIND THE OTHER A/C FOR AN APPROACH TO 24L. CDN954 PROCEEDED TO GO THROUGH THE LOCALIZER AND CAME WITHIN 2 MILES OF OEL1927. THE CDN CAPTAIN CLAIMED ALL INFORMATION ON THE FLIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WAS LOST. THE PILOT REPROGRAMMED FOR THE WRONG RWY (24R). AFTER THE CONTROLLER GAVE HIM A LEFT TURN, HE REALIZED HE WAS PROGRAMMED FOR THE WRONG RWY, AND CORRECTED. OEL1927 WAS GIVEN A VECTORED 360 DEGREE TURN TO RE-INTERCEPT 24R. OPS IMPACT - UNKNOWN. TIME = 2250Z. ACTION = PAX, PAH, PAP, TSB, IKO-PIA.
