Incident at MOIRA LAKE

Summary

1998-02-17: CH9 CITABRIA C-FQYQ - THE PILOT MADE A HARD LANDING ON THE SNOW COVERED ICE SURFACE UNDER OVERCAST CONDITIONS. HE THEN CONTINUIED ON TO STIRLING WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. LATER EXAMINATION REVEALED THAT THE LEFT MAIN GEAR AND THE FUSELAGE TUBULAR STRUCTURE WERE DAMAGED. THE PILOT WAS UNAWARE OF THAT DAMAGE HAD OCCURRED. TIME = 1900Z. ACTION = PAH, TSB.
