1998-02-04: B737 NORTHWEST TERRITORIAL C-GNWN - IFR RANKIN INLET-WINNIPEG WITH 4 CREW & 35 PAX. ENCOUNTERED TURBULENCE SHORTLY AFTER REACHING ALTITUDE. PILOT DISCONNECTED AUTO-PILOT AND HAND FLEW A/C TILL CLEAR OF TURBULENCE. WHEN AUTO-PILOT RE-ENGAGED THE OMEGA NAV SYSTEM WAS NOT COUPLED TO IT. ERROR NOT DISCOVERED UNTIL A/C ENTERED WINNIPEG ATS RADAR COVERAGE 200NM NORTH. A/C WAS 40 NM EAST OF TRACK. TIME - 2230Z.
