Summary

1998-01-22: E110 BANDIT SKYWARD AVIATION SGK125 C-GSKD - CREW WAS TAXIING FOR TAKE-OFF RWY 05. VISIBILITY WAS REPROTED 3/4 MILE IN LIGHT SNOW. CREW HAD JUST RECEIVED IFR CLEARANCE AND WAS AWAITING TAKE-OFF CLEARANCE. TOWER CONTROLLER CALLED ADVISING A/C OF RWY LIGHT SETTING. TRUCK 80, A/P MAINTENANCE, WAS ON RWY 05 PROCEEDING TO RWY 14/32 TO VACATE RWY 05 FOR A/C DEPARTURE. BOTH PILOTS BELIEVED THEY RECEIVED TAKE-OFF CLEARANCE AND BEGAN THEIR TAKE-OFF ROLL. A/C HAD REACHED SPEED OF 80 KTS WHEN CREW SAW TRUCK TURNING OFF RWY 05. CAPTAIN DECIDED TO CONTINUE TO TAKE-OFF. TRUCK 80 WAS ON RWY 14/32 ABOUT 200' FROM RWY 05 WHEN FLIGHT PASSED BEHIND IT. ATS INVESTIGATING OCCURRENCE AS OPERATING IRREGULARITY. TIME = 1420Z.
