Summary

1998-01-22: HMBC CH0701 ZENAIR C-FOKL - PILOT CONDUCTING TOUCH-AND-GOS AT ONTARIO MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES AIRSTRIP. ON FINAL TAKE-OFF, PILOT ROTATED NOSE UP VERY SHARPLY AT APPROX 25 MILES PER HOUR INSTEAD OF RECOMMENDED SPEED OF 30 MPH. A/C BECAME AIRBORNE IN VERY STEEP NOSE HIGH ATTITUDE AND VEERED TO RIGHT AND THEN SHARPLY TO LEFT AND CRASHED INTO BUSH BORDERING AIRSTRIP. NEITHER OCCUPANT WAS INJURED BUT WINGS, NOSE, AND PROP WERE SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. TIME = 1915Z.
