1998-01-22: CH9 CITABRIA C-GEDP - A/C DEPARTED ATIKOKAN ON VFR FLIGHT TO STEINBACH. PILOT HAD RECEIVED WX BRIEFING PRIOR TO INTENDED FLIGHT. APPROX 30 MIN SE OFF STEINBACH, PILOT ENCOUNTERED SNOW SHOWER AND REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO SMOKE FROM STUBBLE FIRES. PILOT MADE PRECAUTIONARY LANDING ON GRAVEL ACCESS ROAD AND SPENT NIGHT AT SITE. NEXT MORNING, RCMP CLOSED ROAD AND PILOT AND PAX DEPARTED AND CONTINUED TO DESTINATION. TIME = 2200Z.
