Incident at THUNDER BAY

Summary

1998-01-22: PA31 NAVAJO C-GVPP - WHILE ENROUTE LANDSDOWNE HOUSE TO THUNDER BAY, CREW NOTICED OIL ON LEFT HAND COWLING AND FLUCTUATED OIL PRESSURE TO LEFT ENGINE. ENGINE WAS SECURED AND A/C CONTINUED TO THUNDER BAY AND LANDED SAFELY. MAINTENANCE FOUND THAT ENGINE ACCESSORY DRIVE SHAFT SEAL FOR ENGINE DRIVER AIR PUMP WAS LEAKING. SEAL WAS REPLACED AND A/C RETURNED TO SERVICE. ERS RESPONDED TO MINOR STANDBY. TIME = 1254Z.
