1998-01-22: C185 SKYWAGON C-FOFX - PAS FSS HAD INFO ON OVERDUE A/C. A/C WAS LOCATED ON NORTH SHORE OF TOBIN LAKE, APPROX 110 MILES W OF THE PAS, HAVING LANDED SUCCESSFULLY. PILOT ACTIVATED ELT AND A/C WAS LOCATED BY SAR. PILOT REPORTED SMOKE IN COCKPIT FROM NEWLY INSTALLED RADIO PLUS ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE WAS INCENTIVE ENOUGH FOR HIM TO LAND A/C ON TOBIN LAKE. TIME = 2030Z.
