1998-01-14: A748 CAV1557 & DC9 ACA219 - CAV1557 DESTINED FOR FLIN FLON, ACA219 DESTINED FOR REGINA, PREPARED TO DEPART YWG. CAV1557 WAS USING ACTIVE RWY 13, ACA219 PLANNING FOR RWY 18. DEPART CONTROLLER COORDINATED APPROVAL FOR CAV1557 TO TURN RIGHT AND PROCEED THROUGH THE RWY 18 DEPART PATH BEFORE ACA219 WAS RELEASED. SOME CONFUSION TO WHAT WAS COORDINATED AND TOWER RELEASED ACA219 WHILE CAV1557 STILL EAST OF RWY 18. TERMINAL CONTROLLER NOTICED PROBLEM AND TOOK STEPS TO RESOLVE CONFLICT. MINIMUM LATERAL SEPARATION - MORE THAN 1 MILE. MINIMUM VERTICAL SEPARATION - 700 FT. BOTH PILOTS REPORTED VISUAL. NO FURTHER INCIDENT. TIME = 1849Z.
