Incident at LA FLECHE

Summary

1997-12-11: PA32 C-GPJV - A/C HAD LANDED ON FARM STRIP & HAD TAXIIED THE A/C INTO THE FARM YARD TO PARK. WHILE THE PILOT WAS MANEOUVERING AROUND A FARM TRUCK, THE LEFT OUTBOARD WING TIP CONTACTED A TREE & BROKE OF THE NAVIGATION LIGHT WHICH HAD BEEN TURNED ON FOR THE FLIGHT. AN INTENSE FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE WING TIP FUEL TANK. HELP FROM THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NEEDED. TIME - 2325Z. ACTION - NIL.
