Incident at DRYDEN

Summary

1997-03-03: C172 SKYHAWK C-GZTK - THE STUDENT PILOT, ON A SOLO CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT, WAS LANDING AT DRYDEN A/P. HE APPROACHED RWY 29 AT 65 KTS, 40 DEGREE FLAPS, AND USING EXTRA POWER. THE MAIN WHEELS TOUCHED DOWN, THE A/C NOSED OVER AND THE PROP STRUCK THE RWY. THE A/C CAME TO REST UPRIGHT AND THE PILOT EXITED WITHOUT INJURY. THE MET REPORT AT THE TIME OF THE OCCURRENCE GAVE THE WINDS AS 210 AT 7 KTS. WITH NO GUSTS REPORTED. TIME = 1750Z.
