Incident at ST ANDREWS

Summary

1997-03-03: AR58 CHAMPIAN C-FMZR - 8 MILES SE OF ST ANDREWS A/P, THE A/C WAS BEING FERRIED TO ST ANDREWS FROM THE A/C OWNER'S PRIVATE STRIP, WHICH HAD BEEN CLEARED OF SNOW. ONCE AIRBORNE, THE PILOT RECOGNIZED AN INMINENT STALL , CLOSED THE THROTTLE AND LANDED STRAIGHT AHEAD. DEEP SNOW CAUSED THE A/C TO NOSE OVER AND COME TO REST INVERTED. THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED AND EXITED THE A/C WITHOUT DIFFICULTY. TIME = 1700Z.
