Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

A CANLink Aviation Inc. Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FLXL) on a local flight from Moncton, NB (CYQM), while on an extended right downwind Runway 29, was issued a left hand 360 instruction. CFLXL commenced a right hand 360, turning in front of a WestJet Boeing 737-76N (C-GUWS / WJA480) from Toronto, ON (CYYZ) to Moncton, NB (CYQM), who was approximately 5 nautical miles on final approach to Runway 29. CFLXL was issued corrective instructions to avoid intercept with the final approach of WJA480. Their separation was approximately 500 feet vertical, 3 nautical miles lateral). There was no impact on Westjet and the aircraft landed without incident.

Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ) (Laser interference)

After departure from Runway 06L, a WestJet aircraft (WJA480) reported observing a laser being flashed around. A Porter Airlines aircraft (POE541) also reported the same laser which appeared to be originating from the vicinity of Pape Avenue and O'Connor Drive.

Aviation Incident Report #13792: A WestJet Boeing 737 700 (WJA480) from Toronto, ON (CYYZ) to Moncton, NB (CYQM) experienced a passenger related incident. Crew requested that police meet the aircraft in CYQM for an unruly passenger. Passenger has been arrested.

A Westjet Boeing 737 700 (WJA480) from Toronto, ON (CYYZ) to Moncton, NB (CYQM) was issued taxi BRAVO short of TANGO to follow RJ traffic. A tug (T756) had been cleared to tow ALPHA to ALPHA/FOXTROT passed WJA480.

Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ)

The Westjet Boeing 737 7CT aircraft (operating as WJA480) was preparing to depart on a scheduled IFR flight from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM). The flight crew identified two individual passengers who were intoxicated and not complying with instructions. The decision was made to offload them. The passengers initially refused to comply so Peel Regional Police were contacted and successfully removed the passengers. Ops. impact -- the flight departed 20 minutes late.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

WJA480, Boeing 737 7CT, enroute from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM), requested clearance to land on Runway 11 with winds 220/18G25K and Runway 29 being the active runway. The clearance was approved and then the flight initiated the missed approach at two miles final for Runway 11. The flight subsequently landed on Runway 29 uneventfully with winds 260/15G27K.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

WJA480, Boeing 737-7CT, landed in Moncton (CYQM) on a flight from Toronto (CYYZ) at 02:11Z. At 02:26Z they advised ground control of a medical emergency (passenger). Airport fire rescue, airport security and 911 were contacted. An ambulance and fire rescue responded and the medical situation was secured at 02:46Z.

The Air Canada Airbus A319 aircraft (operating as ACA967) was concluding a scheduled FIR flight from Brantley Adams International Airport, Seawell, Barbados (TBPB) to Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ). The Westjet Airlines Ltd. Boeing 737-700 aircraft (operating as WJA480) was commencing a scheduled FIR flight from Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ) to Greater Moncton International Airport (CYQM). ACA967 was inbound to Toronto with a clearance to descend to an altitude of 8,000 feet. At 0040Z, the aircraft was observed descending below 8,000 feet with the departing WJA480 climbing to an altitude of 7,000 feet. The flight crew of ACA967 were instructed to maintain an altitude of 8,000 feet and turn left to a heading of 270ยบ. Ops. impact - unknown.

Incident at Au-dessus du VOR de St-Jean (YJN)

WJA480, a Boeing 737-700 operated by Westjet, was conducting an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM). Above the VHF omnidirectional range (VOR) at St Jean (YJN), the crew reported a technical problem and requested to return to Toronto. No emergency was declared.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

UPDATE National Operations: National Operations has reviewed this CADORS and has determined that the go-around in response to a windshear indication on final for Runway 11 (CYQM) was in accordance with West Jet's approved SOP. No further action concerning this CADORS is recommended.
WJA480, Boeing 737-76N, enroute from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM) requested approach for Runway 11. Winds were 210 at 5 knots. WJA480 was cleared to land on Runway 11 and approximately one nautical mile from the threshold, initiated a missed approach procedure. The tower requested the aircraft?s intentions. WJA480 indicated it had received a wind shear warning, initiating the missed approach and requested a frequency change to the Area Control Centre (ACC) for another approach. WJA480 landed on Runway 29 without further incident. When queried, WJA480 indicated it had received a wind shear warning only and did not experience any effects of wind shear on final for Runway 11. Nil TSB.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ATM - weather observation systems)

WestJet dispatched called to express concern that no actual wind information was available at Moncton. Their flight had landed with a tailwind of approximately 35 knots on approach reducing to 9 kts on short final. Due to the unserviceability of the Environment Canada wind indication equipment on the airport the only wind information available to the tower was as reported on the METAR.
