A Westjet Encore de Havilland DHC-8-402 (C-FWEP/WEN3107) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) reported a bird strike while landing. The airport maintenance found no bird on the ground.

Incident at TERRACE BC (CYXT)

A WestJet Encore de Havilland DHC-8-402 (WEN3107) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) advised that a fight attendant had a medical emergency and requested an ambulance to meet them on the apron.
Update TSB #A19P0087: C-FQWE, a de Havilland DHC-8-400 aircraft operated by WestJet Encore, was conducting flight WEN3107 from Vancouver Intl (CYVR), BC to Terrace (CYXT), BC with 4 crew members and 78 passengers on board. Approximately 25 minutes before the landing at CYXT, one of the cabin crew members became incapacitated due to illness, and was unable to complete their duties. Duties were reassigned to the remaining cabin crew member for the remainder of the flight.

Incident at TERRACE BC (CYXT)

After initial arrival advisory, the flight service station (FSS) could not contact a WestJet Encore Bombardier DHC-8-402 (WEN3107) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) for approximately 8 minutes on approach. Air traffic control (ATC) advised. Winter maintenance vehicles removed earlier than required. WEN3107 re established contact with FSS approximately 4 minutes from landing. Pilot said he may have had radio turned down or incorrect frequency. Impact on operations: possibly more contaminants on runway than otherwise may have been.

Incident at TERRACE BC (CYXT)

A WestJet Encore de Havilland DHC-8-402 (C-FKWE/WEN3107) from Vancouver International, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) reported starting a missed approach due to a programming error on the area navigation (RNAV) X Runway 33 Approach. WEN3107 landed at 0308Z without incident. No impact on operations.

Incident at PRINCE GEORGE BC (CYXS)

A WestJet Encore de Havilland DHC-8-402 (C-FOWE/WEN3107) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) executed a missed approach and reported an unsafe gear indication at CYXT. The aircraft diverted from CYXT to Prince George, BC (CYXS) after declaring an emergency. Aircraft landed safely Runway 33 at 0713Z. The Tower remained opened until 1145Z (normal closing is at 1100Z) due to emergency.
UPDATE: TSB#A16P0031: The flight crew of the de Havilland DHC-8-400, C-FOWE, operated by Westjet Encore as flight WEN3107 from Vancouver Intl, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT), executed a missed approach and reported an unsafe gear indication at CYXT. The crew declared an emergency and elected to divert the flight to Prince George, BC (CYXS). When the landing gear was selected down on the approach to CYXS, the nose gear indication was red with the doors closed. The main landing gear extended normally. An alternate gear extension was completed and all gear indicated safe. The aircraft landed on Runway 33. The operator?s maintenance replaced the NLG doors actuator and carried out NLG swings IAW AMM. The aircraft was returned to service.
UPDATE from Airworthiness: A Civil Aviation Safety Inspector (CASI) looked into this occurrence. The CASI contacted the operator involved for more information and was provided with additional details of this occurrence. Troubleshooting by Maintenance uncovered the defect to the nose landing gear door actuator. The actuator was replaced on February 15 2016. There have been no further related reports on this aircraft for similar defects since that time. The CASI was satisfied with the information provided, the maintenance actions taken and advised that no further follow-up action by Transport Canada was required at this time.

Incident at VANCOUVER INTL BC (CYVR)

UPDATE: TSB#A16P0008: The Westjet Encore DHC-8-400, C-FENU, was operating as flight WEN3107 from Vancouver Intl, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT). The aircraft returned to Vancouver due to the rudder trim switches not automatically returning to neutral during the en route phase of the flight. The flight crew manually switched the rudder trim switches to neutral. The aircraft landed on Runway 08L without further incident. ATC initiated ARFF who was standing by. Subsequent maintenance actions resulted in the replacement of the rudder trim control panel and the aircraft was returned to service.
WestJet Encore Ltd de Havilland DHC-8-402 (C-FENU/WEN3107) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) departed Runway 08R at 0343Z for CYXT. Aircraft ended up returning due to a minor mechanical issue enroute. Landed on Runway 08L safely at 0505Z. Air traffic control (ATC) initiated precautionary standby. No operational impact.

Incident at TERRACE BC (CYXT) (Aerodrome - runway or taxiway surface condition)

A WestJet Encore de Havilland DHC-8-402 (C-GDEN/WEN3107) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) initiated missed approach five minutes from CYXT due to low Canadian Runway Friction index (CRFI) and diverted back to CYVR. CRFI for Runway 15/33 was .19 at 0509Z. No operational impact.

Incident at TERRACE BC (CYXT)

Taxiway lights unserviceable from 0542Z until 0614Z. At 0543Z, upon landing, a WestJet Encore de Havilland DHC 8-402 (C-FOWE/ WEN3107) from Vancouver, BC (CYVR) to Terrace, BC (CYXT) had to taxi off the runway to the apron without taxiway lights (sunset 0510Z, twilight 0604Z).
