Incident at 5333N05524W

UPDATE: Aviation Incident Report#A13938: Goose Bay Airport (CYYR) reported a Medical diversion for a passenger; there was a doctor on board. Patient was taken to local hospital by ambulance. Aircraft continued on to destination.
At 2030Z, in the vicinity of 5333N05524W, a United Airlines Boeing 777 222 (N791UA/ UAL925) from London, UK (EGLL) to Washington, DC (KIAD) declared medical emergency due to a passenger. Flight requested and was cleared direct to Goose Bay, NL (CYYR). The aircraft landed at 2119Z without further incident.

Incident at Moncton ACC (ATM - other)

Boston Air Route Traffic Control Centre (ARTCC) inquired as to what route the Moncton Area Control Centre (ACC) had filed for UAL925, Boeing 777-200 that was enroute from London (EGLL) to Washington (KIAD). The pilot reported to the Boston controller that at the time of departure the route was BAF direct to KIAD and Moncton ACC reported BAF HYPER3 KIAD. After a review of the flight data it was noted that the company dispatch amended the route at 16:36Z about 15 minutes after the estimated time of departure to the new route of BAF HYPER3.

UAL925, a Boeing 777-200 operated by United Airlines, was conducting an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight from London (EGLL) to Washington (KIAD). The route flown by the aircraft was different from the flight-planned route. A NAV CANADA investigation is in progress. **** *** **** UAL925, un Boeing 777-200 exploité par United Airlines, effectuait un vol selon les règles de vol aux instruments (IFR) depuis Londres (EGLL) à destination de Washington (KIAD). L'aéronef volait une route différente de celle en possession du contrôleur de la circulation aérienne (ATC). Une enquête de Nav Canada est en cours.
Update #1: Event categories "Navigation error" and "Alleged Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) infraction" were removed. Event category "ATC operating irregularity (other)" was added. For the time being, NAV CANADA has been unable to determine the cause of the error. Incident at Gander Oceanic

UAL925 a United Airlines Boeing 777 was en-route from Heathrow to Washington Dulles at Position 56N 37W at 1828Z and at Flight Level 390 the aircraft declared an emergency due to a generator failure and requested a diversion to BIKF (Keflavik). The B777 later cancelled the emergency at 1908Z. No further assistance was required.
TSB Update - 2003-08-28 - A03A0102: N789UA, a Boeing 777-200 aircraft, was in cruise flight at FL390 en route from London to Washington and was at position 56N/37W when the crew declared an emergency due to a generator failure. The crew requested and received clearance from their present position direct to Keflavik, Iceland. The crew cancelled the emergency at 1908 UTC and the aircraft continue to Keflavik and landed without further incident.
