Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ) (Overshoot/missed approach)

The Air Transat A.T. Inc. Airbus A-330-200 series aircraft (operating as flight TSC477) was nearing the conclusion of an IFR flight from La Romana International Airport, Dominican Republic (MDLR) to Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ). The Image Air Charter LLC aircraft (C-GCIX) was concluding an IFR flight from Teterboro Airport, NJ (U.S.A.) (KTEB) to Toronto (LBPIA) (CYYZ). NAV CANADA staff at Toronto Tower reported that the TSC477 flight crew was instructed to overshoot their aircraft's approach to runway 05 due to decreasing spacing on final with arriving C-GCIX just touching down on runway 05. Separation was not jeopardized. Ops. impact -- none.
