Incident at J.A. DOUGLAS MCCURDY SYDNEY AIRPORT

UPDATE Maintenance & Manufacturing: Investigation revealed that the Com 2 mike wire was grounding intermittently producing the transmissions. This was replaced and there have been no further incidents of this nature.
SLG7301, Cessna 208B, enroute from Charlottetown (CYYG) to Sydney (CYQY), was inbound to Sydney. Mandatory Frequency 122.0 was receiving clicking sounds, thus causing the Aircraft Radio Control of Aerodrome Lighting (ARCAL) to change intensity. The Flight Service Station (FSS) could hear SLG7301 transmissions but it was not receiving FSS transmissions. The Advanced Automation System (AAS) was relayed through the Moncton Area Control Centre (ACC). The aircraft landed, powered off, and at that time the frequency returned to normal.
