Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)

NWA 1845, a DC-9, was in descent to Saskatoon on a flight from Minneapolis. The Enroute Controller advised the crew of VFR traffic ahead, type unknown, southwest bound and climbing through 5,300 feet, based on Mode C presentation. During frequency transition to Saskatoon TCU, the targets overlapped (VFR at 6,300 feet / NWA 1845 at 6,700 feet). The crew of NWA 1845 received a TCAS alert and initiated a climb to 7,500 feet and advised TCU.

NWA1845 was an IFR flight inbound to Saskatoon landing Runway 09. At 3 miles final NWA1845 had a TCAS resolution advisory on GYBI, a C152 downwind for Runway 09. NWA1845 executed a missed approach, returned then landed on Runway 09. OPI - System Safety

Incident at 50 NW Regina, Saskatchewan

An operating irregularity occurred between NW1845, a DC9 which was enroute Saskatoon from Minneapolis at FL330 and Canadian 900, a Boeing 737, enroute Montreal from Calgary also at FL330. NWA1845 were assigned a heading to cross behind CDN900. CDN900 received a TCAS alert and started to climb from FL330. The aircraft passed with 500 feet vertical separation and 4.25 miles lateral separation.
