A Chrono Jet Boeing 737-2T4 (C-FYPN/MBK792) from Iqaluit, NU (CYFB) to Mary River, NU (CMR2) returned to land shortly after departure because they could not retract their landing gear. No emergency declared. MBK792 landed at 1130Z without further incident. Runway closed for foreign object debris (FOD) check and re-opened at 1141Z. No impact on operations.

Starting at 0901Z, complete Integrated Information Display System (IIDS) failure (NAV CANADA Auxiliary Radar Display System (NARDS), Extended Computer Display System (EXCDS), weather data entry (WDE)). Main phone line and emergency backup phone unserviceable (U/S). Human Weather Observation System failure to connect to Observation Data Exchange (ODEX). Air traffic control (ATC) 654 line and satellite (SAT) phone both working. Technical Operations Coordinator (TOC) advised via sat phone. Montreal Area Control Centre (CZUL) advised via ATC 654 line. CZUL advised they had received the 0900Z weather. Quebec, QC (CYQB) Flight Information Centre (FIC) advised via SAT phone. Impact on operations: A Chrono Aviation Boeing 737-200 (MBK792) was unable to get a pre-taxi clearance. Other impact unknown. (Reference AOR 256372-V1).
