Incident at THUNDER BAY ON (CYQT)

The crew of a LR36 which is owned and operated by Pratt & Whitney Canada was in position for departure off Runway 30 at Thunder Bay. A C152 (C-GISI) entered the control zone Ronly. The Lear delayed its departure until Thunder ATS personnel were able to determine what the intentions of C-GISI were. The pilot and only occupant of the C152 had flown VFR from Kenora without onboard radio problems. However, the pilot was unable to transmit on Thunder Bay Tower frequency 118.1. The pilot squawked 7600 and was able to land with FSS in assistance.

LR36 & C152 CLARM AIRE - N873LR WAS NUMBER TWO ON APPROACH TO RWY 29 FOLLOWING C152 ON SHORT FINAL. A SECOND C152 (ON FIRST SOLO) WAS INSTRUCTED TO WIDEN OUT TO FOLLOW N873LR. PILOT ACKNOWLEDGED INSTRUCTIONS & APPEARED TO TURN AS REQUESTED. CONTROLLER DIVERTED ATTENTION TO THE LANDING C152. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, N873LR ANNOUNCED THAT EVASIVE ACTION WAS BEING TAKEN TO AVOID CONFLICTING WITH THE C152. N873LR OVERSHOT. OCCURRENCE HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED BY ATS & THE MATTER HAS BEEN REFERRED TO THE CLARM AIRE CFI FOR STUDENT EDUCATION. TIME - 1355Z. ACTION - PAX PAR PAE TSB.

LR36 LEAR N351EF - THE A/C LANDED ON RWY 06L AND STRUCK A BIRD. THE RWY WAS CLOSED FOR INSPECTION AND 1 BIRD WAS FOUND ON 06L BETWEEN THE THRESHOLD AND "Q" TXY. THE RWY WAS REOPENED AT 1359Z. OPS IMPACT - UNKNOWN. TIME = 1350Z. ACTION = TSB, IKO-PIA.

LR36 N22MB WAS WEST BOUND ACROSS THE ATLANTIC FL430. PILOT ADVISED ATC THAT THE LEFT FUEL FILTER BYPASS LIGHT WAS ON. HE REQUESTED A DESCENT. ATC UNABLE SO PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY TURNED 30NM OFF TRACK AND DESCENDED TO FL310. TIME = 0402Z. ACTION = MAB.

LR36 CKS071 - FL350, CLEARED KEFLAVIK LOACH FOXXE GANDER. A/C SHOWED UP ON RADAR AT APPROX. 20 MILES SOUTH OF SCROD. (80 - 90 SOUTH OF TRACK). NO OTHER A/C INVOLVED. A/C WAS USING OMEGA. PILOT ADVISED THAT THERE WAS A COMPUTER INPUT ERROR. TIME - 2006Z. ACTION - MAP.
