Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

POE291, DHC 8 401, enroute from Toronto (CYTZ) to Moncton (CYQM), was on downwind for approach to Runway 29. The flight crew requested priority due to an unusual fuel indication. JZA934 was vectored off of base leg and delayed about 15 miles to give priority to POE291. The aircraft landed safely at 15:37Z.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Engine - malfunction)

C-FNDC, Diamond DA 20 C1, on departure from Moncton (CYQM), requested an immediate return for landing due to engine difficulties. JZA934, RJ200, right base on a visual approach completed a 270 degree turn for spacing. Both aircraft landed safely.
UPDATE Maintenance & Manufacturing: During inspection the Cylinder #1 and #4 top spark plugs were determined to be unserviceable. New plugs were installed and the remainder of the plugs were cleaned , gaped and tested. The right hand magneto was adjusted and fuel injection system was checked and adjusted. The aircraft was released conditional to a satisfactory test flight.

JZA934, RJ200, enroute from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM), reported a bird strike. Maintenance found a dead starling on the runway. There was no impact on operations.

JZA934, RJ900, enroute from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM), declared a medical emergency. An ambulance was requested. The tower was advised and the aircraft landed at 15:32Z.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Aerodrome - runway or taxiway surface condition)

During landing, JZA934, RJ9, enroute from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM), reported hitting a bird on Runway 24. The fire hall investigated and found the remains of one small bird. JZA934 reported no damage to the aircraft. CME321 on approach behind JZA934 was diverted to Runway 29. Nil TSB.

Incident at À la verticale du VOR de St-Jean (YJN)

JZA934, a Regional Jet operated by Air Canada Jazz, was conducting an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight from Toronto (CYYZ) to Moncton (CYQM). At 1336Z, above the St-Jean (YJN) very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR) station, the pilot informed the Montréal area control centre (ACC) that he was experiencing technical problems. The pilot requested a diversion to Québec/Jean Lesage (CYQB). The aircraft remained in a holding pattern for about 40 minutes in order to burn fuel and then landed without incident at 1439Z. No emergency was declared. There was no impact on ATC operations.
