Incident at Ste-Catherine (Rive-Sud de Montréal)

JZA792, a de Havilland Dash 8 operated by Air Canada Jazz, was on an IFR flight from Montréal/Trudeau (CYUL) to Saint John (CYSJ). While the aircraft was west of the Champlain Bridge, the crew reported being targeted by a green laser that seemed to coming from around the Ste-Catherine Lock on the Montréal South Shore. The police authorities were informed of the situation.
Update #1: According to information from the ANS and Airspace Division: No laser use authorization was provided for this sector.

Incident at 40NM au sud-est de Montréal/Trudeau (CYUL)

JZA792, a De Havilland Dash 8 operated by Air Canada Jazz, was on an IFR flight from Montréal/Trudeau (CYUL) to Saint John (CYSJ). At 0200Z, the crew reported technical issues and requested to return to Montréal/Trudeau. No emergency was declared nor was priority requested. The aircraft landed without incident on Runway 24L at 0215Z. No impact on ATC operations.

Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ)

JZA792, DHC 8 102, enroute from Montreal (CYUL) to Saint John (CYSJ), was inbound for Runway 05. At approximately two miles final (02:14Z), the aircraft was observed commencing a missed approach. The flight crew advised that they were cancelling IFR, and were experiencing a gear problem. The issue was resolved and the aircraft landed safely at 02:30Z.

Incident at SAINT JOHN NB (CYSJ)

JZA792, DHC 8 102, enroute from Montreal (CYUL) to Saint John (CYSJ), executed a missed approach at Saint John due to possible debris on the runway. Just prior to the planned landing, a sweeper operator that had exited the arrival runway noticed that the equipment had experienced a blown tire. A subsequent runway inspection found no debris and the aircraft completed a second approach and landed at 03:06Z.

The aircraft landed at Montréal/Trudeau at 0302Z, without incident.
