Mise à jour #1 : Le numéro et la classe d'enquête du BST ont été ajoutés. Selon le rapport du BST A11Q0233: The DASH8-400, operated by Sky Regional flight SKV7520, on final on runway 06L at Montreal/Trudeau Intl was followed by a DASH8-400 operated by Jazz flight JZA719, when seperation was reduced to 2.1nm. The minimum required was 3nm. Overshoot instructions were given to JZA719 who was sequenced and landed without further incident.
JZA791, a de Havilland Dash 8 operated by Air Canada Jazz, was on an IFR flight from Québec/Jean-Lesage (CYQB) to Montréal/Trudeau (CYUL). SKV7520, a de Havilland Dash 8 operated by Sky Regional Airlines, was on an IFR flight from Toronto (CYTZ) to Montréal/Trudeau (CYKUL). While both aircraft were following one another and were on approach for Runway 06L, an ATC operating irregularity occurred when the separation between the two aircraft was reduced to 2.1 NM, though the required minimum is 3 NM. JZA791 therefore received an instruction to overshoot and returned to land without incident. No impact on ATC operations.
