Incident at MONTRÉAL INTL (MIRABEL) QC (CYMX) (Dangerous goods/hazardous materials)
After an engine test in HB06 and a test on Runway 06, a Bombardier Inc. Bombardier BD-500-1A10 (series CS100) (BBA535) from Montreal Intl (Mirabel), QC (CYMX) to Montreal Intl, QC (Mirabel) (CYMX) notified the airport manager of an oil leak. Runway 06/24 was closed from 1501Z to 1506Z for an inspection. After the inspection, about 1/2 a litre of oil was found on holding bay 06; nothing was found on Runway 06/24. Two VFR aircraft in circuit 24 had to conduct a low approach: a Cargair Ltd. Cessna 172N (C-GIXX) from Montreal Intl, QC (Mirabel) (CYMX) to Montreal Intl, QC (Mirabel) (CYMX); and an Académie Aéronautique Inc. Cessna 172N (C-GIGW) from Montreal Intl (Mirabel), QC (CYMX) to Montreal Intl, QC (Mirabel) (CYMX).

A/C overshot due to TCAS Alert of non-conflicting helicopter traffic 100 feet below DAL 1785. (GYQH HB06) was hovering over terminal building taking pictures.

Accident at ELBOW RANGER STN
HB06 ALBERTA GOVT. GOA C-GFSE ? was on low level timber cruising mission. Pilot turned toward the hillside while reaching for the camera and flew into trees. 2 POB - no injuries. Substantial damage. TIME = 1835Z. ACTION = TSB. TSB UPDATE: the Bell 206B pilot and his passenger were conducting a low-level forest inventory project. The pilot was turning left toward the sun in preparation for taking a picture, when the helicopter struck some trees on a knoll. The pilot reportedly was retrieving his camera from the floor and did not realize he was flying toward rising terrain. He did not recover in sufficient time to prevent the helicopter from descending into the trees and rolling on its right side.

HB06 RANGER GREAT SLAVE HELIS C-FHZJ - A/C ENTERED A 50 FT HOVER PRIOR TO LANDING, EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF TAIL ROTOR AUTHORITY. A/C COMPLETED 3-4 REVOLUTIONS BEFORE LANDING HEAVY ON LEFT SKID. MAIN ROTOR HIT GROUND AND HELI CAME TO REST ON ITS LEFT SIDE. NO INJURIES. TIME = 1903Z. ACTION = TSB.

HB06 LONG RANGER ESSOR HELICOPTERES C-GJJKI - WHILE REFUELING, THERE WAS A FUEL SPILL WHICH CAUSED THAT SPREAD TO THE HELICOPTER AND CAUGHT A/C ON FIRE. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. TIME = 1915Z. NAX.
