Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

After departure from Runway 23, GGN7471, Beech 1900D, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ)) to Moncton (CYQM) was cleared for a right turn direct to Moncton. The aircraft continued in the right turn back towards the airport. The controller issued a left turn to 360 degrees to correct the error and avoid ICE606 departing from Runway 23. The minimum distance degraded to 2.8 nautical miles and 3,600 ft.
UPDATE Flight Operations : The flight crew entered direct to the wrong waypoint in error in the GPS.

Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ) (Communication navigation surveillance/air traffic system)

GGN7471, Beech 1900D, departed from Halifax (CYHZ) with a given left turn and heading for separation. CFG063, Boeing 767 300, enroute from Halifax to Frankfurt (EDDF), was given a runway heading in the departure clearance. CFG063 was following GGN7471 on departure and was passed the traffic information during the take-off clearance but read back the information as an instruction. The tower corrected the read back and did not get a response as CFG063 was on the takeoff roll. The tower advised the Terminal Control Unit (TCU) of the read back error.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ELT)

GGN7471, Beech 1900D, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Moncton (CYQM), reported hearing an ELT signal. The strength increased as the aircraft approached Moncton. The strength of 7 was the strongest and heard seven miles west of Moncton. Several other aircraft in high-level airspace heard the ELT. The Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) was advised. A C130 aircraft was dispatched. The source was located at a Moncton hangar. The RCC was advised.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

GGN7471, Beech 1900D, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Moncton (CYQM), reported a Traffic Collision Avoidance System Resolution Advisory (TCAS RA) approximately eight nautical miles final for Runway 24. An unknown flight at an unconfirmed altitude of 3,500 ft. ASL was eastbound through the approach but outside the control zone. GGN7471 landed safely at 15:47Z.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (TCAS alert, Conflict - IFR & VFR)

GGN7471, Beech 1900D, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Moncton (CYQM), was on approach to Runway 29 and experienced a TCAS alert involving C-FUWL, Cessna 172S, on a right downwind approach. GGN7471 turned left 10 degrees and had the traffic in sight. GGN7471 continued with the approach and landed at 16:40Z without further incident. Nil TSB.

UPDATE Maintenance and Manufacturing: The stall horn activated through 90 knots. The stall vane was replaced by maintenance and the aircraft was returned to service.
GGN7471, Beech 1900, rejected take-off from Runway 05 due to an audible warning. No assistance was required. The aircraft returned to the gate. Nil TSB.

C-GMFI, Diamond DA 20 C1, landed on Runway 24 in Moncton (CYQM). The pilot was instructed to taxi DELTA and hold short of Runway 29. C-GMFI was observed crossing the hold short line with GGN7471, Beech 1900, one mile final. C-GMFI was instructed to ?Stop? several times and stopped 100 feet from the runway edge. GGN7471 landed safely. Nil TSB.

The pilot of GGN7471, Beech 1900, enroute from Halifax (CYHZ) to Moncton (CYQM), reported striking a threshold light during the landing on Runway 06. Staff 25 was sent to verify and found a broken light on Runway 06. TSB Case Closed.
UPDATE TSB: A08A0020: The Air Georgian beech 1900 aircraft, operating as GGN7471, was on a flight from Halifax to Moncton. After landing in Moncton the pilot reported striking a runway threshold light. Staff 25 was sent to verify and found a broken light on runway 06. The company has been asked to provide further details.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Conflict - potential, Alleged Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) infraction)

C-FJWX, Diamond DA 20 C1, was at 1200 ft. on left downwind for Runway 06. The pilot was instructed to follow GGN7471 on final for Runway 06 at 2,000 ft. C-FJWX turned in front of GGN7471. GGN7471 was kept at 2,000 ft. and passed over C-FJWX AT 1,200 ft. GGN7471 subsequently landed at 15:38Z. Nil TSB.

Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

GGN7471 a Beech 1900D from Halifax to Moncton reported a TCAS advisory on rotation from Runway 24 in Halifax. Traffic advisory initially received on rotation through approx. 500 ft. and lasted for 5 seconds. The Traffic indicated off to right side of the B1900 as right turn on course commenced then disappeared. Signal received again upon roll out on course and lasted for approx. 7 miles then was lost. The Tower advised there was no other traffic in the vicinity.

Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)

Update From Air Georgian - While enroute to Moncton the Number 1 Vertical Gyro failed. The aircraft returned to Halifax where the gyro was replaced and the aircraft returned to service.
GGN7471 a B1900D advised it was returning to CYHZ, no assistance was required. The aircraft landed at 0143Z on Runway 24 without incident. There was No impact on operations.
