A Lufthansa Airbus A380-800 (DLH463) from Miami, FL (KMIA) to Frankfurt, Germany (EDDF) reported a traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS) warning when a WestJet Boeing 737 700 (WJA030) from Toronto, ON (CYYZ) to Halifax, NS (CYHZ) descended to within 1000 feet above the aircraft. The pilot was aware of traffic. No impact on operations and safety was not jeopardized.

Incident at JEBBY INTERSECTION (Communication navigation surveillance/air traffic system)

After receiving an estimate from New York Oceanic on a Lufthansa Airbus A380-800 (DLH463) from Miami, FL (KMIA) to Frankfurt, Germany (EDDF) at JEBBY, the data strip was removed from the data board and filed prior to the aircraft entering Moncton airspace.

A Lufthansa Airbus A380-800 (DLH463), from Miami, FL (KMIA) to Frankfurt (EDDF), declared a medical emergency due to a sick passenger on board and asked for emergency services to be at the scene upon its arrival at Montréal, QC (CYUL). Priority was given. No impact on operations.

Incident at In the vicinity of: 47N 30W

UPDATE: TSB Report# A14A0074: The Lufthansa Airbus 380 (D-AIMI), operating as DLH463, was en route from Miami (KMIA) to Frankfurt (EDDF). The crew requested deviations north of course due to weather. Air Traffic Control (ATC) was unable to approve the deviation due to two flights operating on the track adjacent, and at the same flight level, to DLH463's track. The crew informed ATC that they had to deviate and requested traffic information. A loss of separation occurred with the other two aircraft during the deviation.
A Lufthansa Airbus A380-800 (DAIMI/ DLH463) from Miami (KMIA) to Frankfurt (EDDF), FL380 at 0209Z, requested a deviation of up to 15NM left of course due weather. Air traffic control (ATC) was unable to approve the deviation due to two flights operating on the track adjacent to DLH463's track at the same flight level. The pilot informed ATC at 0215Z that it had to deviate for weather and requested traffic information. DLH463 was due 47N 30W at 0219Z while a United Airlines Boeing 767 300 (N641UA/ UAL956) from Newark, NJ (KEWR) to Geneva (LSGG) was by 48N 30W at 0211Z and a British Airways Boeing 777 200 (GZZZA/ BAW66V) from Philadelphia, PA (KPHL) to London/ Heathrow (EGLL) was due 48N 30W at 0224Z. Shanwick was advised since deviation occurred near the Gander-Shanwick boundary.

Incident at JEBBY

NY oceanic passed an estimate on a Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft (DLH463) from Miami, FL (KMIA) to Frankfurt, Germany (EDDF) with routing JEBBY LOMPI NANSO COLOR which was read back correctly by the Moncton Area Control Centre (QM ACC) controller. QM ACC controller identified that the aircraft was slightly off course. The aircraft stated they were JEBBY COLOR. No other traffic involved and no impact on the operation.

Incident at LOMPI

A Lufthansa Boeing 747-800 (DLH463) from Miami, FL (KMIA) to Frankfurt, Germany (EDDF) was was observed by the Moncton controller turning off course and, when queried, indicated they were proceeding "LOMPI direct to 45N050W" as per flight plan. Aircraft was issued a new route by NY Oceanic via Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and acknowledged the CPDLC route clearance at 2309z. Route issued was "LOMPI NANSO RAFIN VODOR 45N050W". Aircraft was off course from what was cleared. No impact on operation and no separation issues.

Incident at 4407N/06430W

DLH463, Airbus A380-800, enroute from Miami (KMIA) to Frankfurt (EDDF), declared a medical emergency and requested clearance to New York (KJFK). The aircraft was rerouted. No other assistance was required. The aircraft exited Moncton airspace at 01:21Z. There was no impact on operations.
