BX0H CP14 Aurora on patrol declared an emergency after shutting down # 1 engine. Aircraft landed Greenwood without further incident 1504z. Nil TSB

April 9, 1998

Incident at Nanaimo, B.C.

C-GBFZ was inbound to Nanaimo Airport from Vancouver when the pilot made the report of a "Near Miss" over Decourcy Island with Demon 87, a CP14. C-GBFZ had asked for and received an airport advisory from Nanaimo FSS prior to the "Near Miss". The advisory did not include any information on Demon 87 because it was not a known aircraft at that time. Subsequent conversations between C-GBFZ and Demon 87 indicated that Demon 87 had C-GBFZ in sight at all times and that no conflict existed. The weather was VFR and C-GBFZ landed in Nanaimo without further incident.

December 16, 1998

Accident at Near Liverpool NS

CFC1656 CP14 Aurora reported a strong ELT signal while enroute to Greenwood. The flight homed in on the signal and advised that it appeared to be in the vicinity of Liverpool NS. RCC also advised of an ELT signal being picked up by satellite. Halifax FSS had a round robin flight plan on CGDTK Shearwater to Liverpool and return Shearwater ETA Liverpool 0000Z. RCC advised that they were withdrawing the aircraft and would commence a ground search in the morning. At 1110z RCMP advised that the crash site had been located and comfirmed that CGDTK was the aircraft involved. TSB on site. More information to follow. Update: The TSB was deployed to the Crash site. No immediate cause could be determined. Investigation continues and more information will be provided as available.

M15P CP14 Aurora patrol aircraft reported a fire indicator light # 3 engine 1315z. Aircraft returned to Greenwood and while enroute the reported warning light returned to normal indication but aircraft continued to Greenwood. Nil TSB

RESCUE117 a CP14 Aurora aircraft was on a patrol in the St. John's area when the pilot declared an emergency due to smoke in the cockpit. Aircraft landed St. John's and crew did an over wing evacuation. ERS on site. More to follow.

CFTRE C172 on a cross country round robin VFR became disorientated, began to run low on fuel and decided to broadcast an Urgency call (PAN). ED6O a CP14 out of Greenwood intercepted the call and lead CFTRE to the Liverpool airport. Aircraft landed safely at 2102z. RCC advised. Nil TSB.
