CDN940 B737 enrouteToronto to Halifax reported experiencing an electrical failure when at 30nm south of Saint John. No assistance required. Aircraft landed safely at 1757z. NIL TSB

Incident at Bangor (Maine)
The aircraft was IFR from Toronto to Halifax. While overhead Bangor, the pilot wanted to land at Dorval due to a minor hydraulic problem. He landed without problem at 1800Z. Update: The pilot diverted to Dorval when he noticed that the system A hydraulic oil quantity was decreasing. Emergency services were made available. A transmitter was found defective and was replaced. The aircraft returned to service. Alors qu'il se trouvait à la verticale de Bangor, sur un vol IFR de Toronto vers Halifax, l'aéronef est venu atterrir à Dorval à cause d'un problème hydraulique mineur. Il a atterri sans problème à 1800Z. MISE À JOUR: Le pilote a dérouté vers Dorval à cause d'une indication de diminution de la quantité d'huile hydraulique du système A. Les services d'urgence ont été mis en disponibilité. Un convertisseur (transmitter) était défectueux et a été remplacé. L'aéronef a été remis en service.

Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ)
CDN940 departed Toronto for Halifax. Approximately 40 nm east of Toronto, the pilot declared an emergency, indicating that the #2 engine was shut down, and requested return to Toronto. CDN940 landed on runway 24L at 1619Z with ERS standing by. Ops. Impact -- minimal - all other aircraft were landed on runway 24R, one aircraft given one 360 degree turn for spacing.

Incident at 30 sw of Sydney, NS
Flight enroute to Stephenville, Nfld. from Halifax, N.S. declared emergency due to electrical arcing and smoke at captain's side of windshield. Windshield heat was turned off, smoke and arcing ceased. Aircraft diverted and landed safely at Sydney, N.S. TSB case closed.
