Incident at La Grande

After taking off for Val D'Or, the FSS noticed a pool of fuel on the apron where the aircraft was. The pilot was advised.

Incident at LA GRANDE RIVIÈRE QC (CYGL) (TCAS alert)

AIE461 took off VFR for Kuujjuarapik at 1741Z while CDN415, IFR from Kuujjuarapik, was reporting 18 miles north at 5500 feet in descent. Traffic exchanged. At 1747Z, AIE461 was 11 miles north, 4200 feet in climb, always VFR according to the pilot. CDN415 received a TCAS alert and had to change its flight to evade the aircraft. Weather 1700Z E20 BKN VSBY 15.

January 13, 1995

Incident at VAL-D'OR QC (CYVO) (TCAS alert)

CDN415, IFR from La Grande to Vae D'Or received a TCAS warning around 40 miles north of Val D'Or in descent outside of controlled airspace. He had encountered AIE 522, departing Vae D'Or SVFR for a VFR flight at 11,500 feet to La Grande. Weather YVO 2000Z M8 X VSBY 4ZL--F.

Incident at VAL-D'OR QC (CYVO)

On Departure from Val D'OR for Iqaluit, N39RE had been authorized to flight level 230 with restriction to cross 17 DME at 5000' or below. He did not conform to instruction and had a conflict with CDN 415 (B737) who was in descent for 7000' inbound to La Grande. CDN415 took evasive manoeuvre as commanded by his TCAS system.

PILOT REPORTED AN APPARENT COMPANY POLITIC TO CONFORM TO TCAS WARNING SIGNALS. TIME - 1925Z. ACTION - NAE.
