Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

C-GYGC C172 was given instructions to remain south of the departure path of runway 29 due to departing IFR westbound traffic, while operating over the city of Moncton. No acknowledgement was received while a subsequent transmission with the same instruction was made and where the aircraft did acknowlegde. C-GYGC was later observed on radar flying northbound directly across the departure for runway 29, contrary to the instruction given and acknowledged by the aircraft. Nil TSB

C-GYGC C172 observed operating in the Moncton circuit pattern without displaying position lights. Pilot was advised and continued to fly subsequent circuits with no position lights. Aircraft was observed with position lights functioning during final circuit and on base leg. Nil TSB

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

C-GGIC (a VAN'S RV6 A) was conducting circuits at Moncton and was instructed to follow another aircraft C-GYGC (a C 172) in the circuit for Runway 29 at Moncton. While on the downwind leg, ATC instructed C-GGIC to make a 360 degree turn for spacing and then resume following C-GYGC. When C-GGIC was on short final, ATC instructed C-GGIC to pull up and go around, as C-GYGC was still on the runway (full stop landing). C-GGIC responded that he had the aircraft in sight, and was doing a stop and go, and then landed with C-GYGC still on the runway.

Incident at QUÉBEC / JEAN LESAGE INTL QC (CYQB)

At 2335Z, radar assistance for navigation to Quebec Airport was given to C﷓GYGC, a Moncton Flight College Inc. C172 bound VFR from St. Leonard, NB, (CYSL) to Quebec/Jean-Lesage (CYQB). The aircraft sighted the airport 15 NM southeast and touched down at CYQB without incident at 2350Z. À 2335Z, une assistance radar pour navigation vers l´aéroport de Québec a été donnée à C-GYGC, un C172 de Moncton Flight College inc., VFR en provenance de St.Leonard, NB.(CYSL) vers Québec/Jean-Lesage (CYQB). L´aéronef a aperçu l´aéroport à 15nm au sud-est et s´est posé, sans encombre, à CYQB à 2350Z.

Update Nov 16, 2001 General Aviation. See also 2001A0480. The aircraft checklist was modified as necessary and a Standard Operating Procedure bulletin has been issued to all personnel. No further follow up action was required by MART
Aircraft C-GYGC experienced an electrical failure and appeared over the airport, joined downwind for runway 29 and was given a green light by the tower for landing.The airplane landed at 1312Z. Nil TSB.
