Incident at PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE / SOUTHPORT MB (CYPG)

Aviation Incident Report: At 1312Z (08h12 local), an aircraft was observed on radar entering the Portage La Praire/Southport, MB (CYPG) control zone when approximately 8NM northwest (NW), heading southbound at 1900ft above sea level (ASL). The aircraft continued southbound (SB), passing 5NM west (W) of CYPG. After multiple attempts were made to contact the aircraft on several frequencies, the aircraft identified itself as it was leaving the control zone, 10NM southwest (SW). The aircraft was a Morse Bros. Ltd. Cessna 172N (C-GWMX) on a flight from Westbourne, MB, to Starbuck, MB (CKJ7).

Incident at GOOSE BAY

C150 C-GWMX - ENGINE BEGAN SPITTING ON FLIGHT GOOSE BAY TO CHURCHILL FALLS. PILOT USED PRIMER TO KEEP A/C GOING, RETURNED TO GOOSE & LANDED SAFELY. SIMILAR INCIDENT OCCURRED ON APRIL 9 WITH SAME A/C & PILOT. TSB INVESTIGATING. TIME - 1030Z. ACTION - MAB.
