Incident at RED DEER REGIONAL AB (CYQF)

An Alpine Helicopters Inc. Bell 407 (C-FALC) from Calgary, AB (CYYC) to Edmonton/Villeneuve, AB (CZVL) entered the Red Deer, AB (CYQF) control zone without contacting the flight service station (FSS), then conflicted with an inbound Airwave Electronics Ltd. Cessna 172M (C-GSSM) on a flight to Red Deer, AB (CYQF).

Incident at Didsbury/Minty Field AB (CDM2)

Aviation Incident Report #16634: While maneuvering at Didsbury/Minty Field, AB (CDM2), the pilot of a Airwave Electronics Ltd. Cessna 172M (C-GSSM) observed a low flying privately registered, amateur-built, Acro Sport II, make two high speed passes about 20 feet above the runway and then a sharp left bank out, then levelling off at 100-200 feet above ground level (AGL) before leaving the area. C-GSSM taxied to avoid a collision. There was no contact on the aerodrome frequency 123.2.

Incident at CALGARY / SPRINGBANK AB (CYBW)

A Springbank Aero Flight Training Inc Cessna 172M (C-GSSM) at Calgary, AB (CYBW) activated the emergency locator transmitter (ELT) from 1830Z to 1848Z.
UPDATE from Airworthiness: A Civil Aviation Safety Inspector (CASI) looked into this occurrence. The Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) had recently been maintained and the switch was left in the armed position. When the owner removed some paperwork from the aircraft he inadvertently triggered the switch and was unaware that it was transmitting. The ELT was turned off and the aircraft system had no faults.
