at PEMBERTON BC (CYPS)

The Pemberton, BC (CYPS) airport manager called the Kamloops Flight information Centre (FIC) and reported that a Coastal Pacific Aviation Ltd. Cessna 172P (C-GSPY) from Abbotsford, BC (CYXX) to Pemberton, BC (CYPS) attempted to land on a snow covered runway. The aircraft sustained damage to the propeller and the port wing tip. There were no injuries to the persons on board.
Update TSB Report #A20P0026: The Coastal Pacific Aviation, Cessna 172P, C-GSPY, was conducting flight training departing from Abbotsford Airport (CYXX), BC and making a short stop at Pemberton Airport (CYPS), BC with 2 crew and 1 passenger on board. During landing at CYPS the aircraft veered to the edge of the snow covered runway and struck the left wingtip and propeller in a snowbank damaging them both. There were no injuries.
