Incident at ST. JOHN'S INTL NL (CYYT)

TSB Report #A19A0092: C-GORI a Beechcraft 1900D aircraft operated by Exploits Valley Air Services was conducting flight EV7784 from Gander Intl (CYQX), NL to St Johns Intl. (CYYT), NL with 2 crew and 11 passengers. On approach to CYYT, the aircraft was intercepting the final approach course at 3000 feet when severe turbulence was encountered. The crew had difficulty controlling the aircraft, however the turbulence abated as they continued their descent. A passenger fainted, and was treated by EHS upon landing. The turbulent air inspection was carried out by maintenance and no faults were found, the aircraft was released to service.

An Exploits Valley Air Services Beech 1900D (C-GORI/EV777) on a flight from Halifax/Stanfield Intl, NS (CYHZ) to Fredericton Intl, NB (CYFC) on a visual approach to CYFC advised climbing due to a traffic alert and collision avoidance system (TCAS) resolution in reference to an American corporately registered Piper PA-23-250 (N63886) on a VFR flight from Fredericton Intl, NB (CYFC) to Fredericton Intl, NB (CYFC) south of the approach path.
Update TSB #A19A0061: C-GORI, a Beech 1900D aircraft operated by Exploits Valley Air Service (EVAS), was conducting flight EV7777 from Halifax/Stanfield Intl (CYHZ), NS to Fredericton Intl (CYFC), NB. On final, ATC advised the crew of traffic in the area. The crew could not locate the traffic and received a TCAS warning for traffic with a resolution to climb. The crew complied by climbing, advised ATC and landed without further incident.

At the Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) aerodrome, the taxiway lights failed for Taxiways C and B. The Charlottetown Airport Authority (CAA) was advised, who issued a voice NOTAM that the taxiway lights were unserviceable (U/S) until February 8th, 2019 at 2305Z. The actual outage was less than 10 minutes. Impact: during the hours of darkness a WestJet Boeing 737-6CT (C-GWSB/WJA332) from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl, ON (CYYZ) to Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) taxied from Runway 03/21 via Taxiway C to Apron 1, and an Exploits Valley Air Services Ltd. Beech 1900D (C-GORI/EV753) from Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) to Halifax/Stanfield Intl, NS (CYHZ) taxied from Apron 1 via Taxiways A and B to Runway 03/21 without taxiway lighting.

A Moncton Flight College Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-GMFF) from Fredericton Int'l, NB (CYFC) to Fredericton Int'l, NB (CYFC) called tower ready in Alpha. C-GMFF was instructed and read back to hold short all runways. Tower controller observed C-GMFF crossing the hold short line and immediately instructed C-GMFF to exit onto Runway 33 and taxi to Bravo due to traffic on final. An Exploits Valley Air Services Beech 1900D (C-GORI/EV777) from Halifax/Stanfield Int'l, NS (CYHZ) to Fredericton Int'l, NB (CYFC) was on final for Runway 27 at the time for landing. EV777 continued the approach and landed safely at 1956Z. No impact on operations.

However, the aircraft didn't believe that they hit it. A subsequent inspection also found no trace of living or dead wildlife. There was no impact to operations.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

An Exploits Valley Air Services Beech 1900D (C-GORI / EV7760) from Halifax, NS (CYHZ) to Moncton, NB (CYQM) was cleared for a right visual approach to Runway 11 with a beacon restriction and a not below 3000' until established on final. The tower had VFR traffic about 3 miles final for Runway 11. EV7760 was passed traffic and switched over to the tower. EV7760 turned final inside the beacon (about 1 mile inside) and started descending below 3000' before being established on final. By the time EV7760 was established on final, he was at 2300'. No impact to Air Traffic Service (ATS) operations.

The aircraft returned to the main ram to carry out checks. At 2205Z the aircraft rejected a second take off and returned to the main ramp to carry out checks. The pilot shut down the engines and deplaned. At 2321Z, the aircraft departed for CYYR without incident.

An Exploits Valley Air Services Beech 1900D (C-GORI /EV7795) from Halifax, NS (CYHZ) to CYFC was 4 miles final and cleared to land on Runway 27. C-FSUQ advised he was still on the runway. C-FSUQ was given taxi instructions to vacate Runway 27 and EV7795's landing clearance was cancelled. Once C-FSUQ vacated the runway, EV7795 was re-cleared to land Runway 27 when he was 2 miles final.
