Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

A Moncton Flight College Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FVVY) from Moncton/Romeo LeBlanc, NB (CYQM) to Moncton/Romeo LeBlanc, NB (CYQM) was sequenced number 3 and reported traffic in sight and then turned in front of the number 2 aircraft. The tower issued turns to both aircraft to avoid conflict, no further impact on operation.

A Moncton Flight College Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FVVY) from Moncton, NB (CYQM) and Moncton, NB (CYQM) reported a laser strike. An intermittent laser was visible in the cockpit. The laser was reported to be coming from the aircrafts 5 oclock position while tracking Southeast bound.

Incident at FREDERICTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

A Moncton Flight College Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FVVY) from Fredericton, NB (CYFC) to Quebec/Jean Lesage, QC (CYQB) was instructed to taxi from the Moncton Flight College (MFC) apron to the main apron via Taxiway Delta. The aircraft was observed crossing Delta and entering Taxiway Charlie, heading towards the active Runway 33. The ground controller instructed C-FVVY to stop. The aircraft stopped prior to the hold short line for Runway 33, turned around and taxied via Delta to the main apron. No impact on operations.

A Moncton Flight College Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FVVY) from Moncton/Romeo Leblanc Intl, NB (CYQM) to Moncton/Romeo Leblanc Intl, NB (CYQM), on a flight plan from CYQM to Fredericton Intl, NB (CYFC) and back to CYQM, checked in on arrival and was cleared for the right downwind for Runway 33. The pilot read back "right downwind for Runway 33". The aircraft was subsequently cleared for the right base for Runway 33 more than once, but continued straight for Runway 27.

A CANLink Aviation Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FVVY) on a flight from Moncton/Greater Moncton, NB (CYQM) and landing at Moncton/Greater Moncton, NB (CYQM) was cleared for takeoff Runway 24 from Delta and departed Runway 06. Another VFR aircraft was 7 miles final but the departure was turned out of the way. Very little impact on operations.

Incident at GREATER MONCTON ROMEO LEBLANC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

At 1232Z, a CANLink Aviation Diamond DA 20-C1 (C-FVVY) on a flight from Moncton/Greater Moncton, NB (CYQM) and landing at Moncton/Greater Moncton, NB (CYQM) contacted the tower at the hold short line in Alpha for Runway 29. This was the first call made by the aircraft. The aircraft did not contact ground for taxi clearance. The aircraft was told to contact ground but turned around and taxied back to the apron without calling ground to get back. One flight college aircraft was held on the apron for about one minute waiting for the aircraft to taxi back to apron. No impact on operations.

Incident at LA GRANDE RIVIÈRE QC (CYGL) (Communication navigation surveillance/air traffic system)

At 1443Z the pilot of Big River Air DHC3 C-FVVY reported 8 nm from La Grande Rivière (CYGL) on final for a water landing at the seaplane base. At 1446Z the FSS tried to contact C-FVVY, but to no avail. At 1451Z the FSS asked local police to check out the water landing site. Police confirmed at 1519Z that the aircraft had landed at the seaplane base. À 1443Z le pilote de C-FVVY, un DHC3 appartenant à la compagnie Big River Air, s'est rapporté à 8NE de La Grande Rivière (CYGL) en approche finale pour amerrisage sur l'hydroaérodrome. À 1466Z la station d'information de vol (FSS) a tenté sans succès de communiquer avec l'aéronef C-FVVY. À 1451Z la FSS demande à la police locale de vérifier le site d'ammerrisage. Ces derniers confirment à 1519Z que l'aéronef s'est posé sur l'hydroaérodrome.

Incident at Lutselk'e, NT

It was reported that C-FVVY, a DHC-3 Otter enroute to Fort Smith experienced and engine failure and made a succesful forced landing near Lutsek'e, NT. No other details are available at this time. OPI - Maintenance and Manufacturing UPDATE M. & M. reported that Company Maintenance reports that it was a precautionary landing due to torque fluctuation. The company had a second aircraft in the vicinity crewed by a Pilot / Engineer. The engineer checked the aircraft out and found no apparent problem. The aircraft was ground run and could not induce the fluctuation. The aircraft was returned to service.
