A Pacific Sky Aviation Viking DHC-4 Series 400 (C-FMJO) from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl, ON (CYYZ) to Ottawa/Gatineau, QC (CYND) declared an emergency and advised of a change of destination to Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier Intl, ON (CYOW) due to a lack of indication for the front wheel. Emergency vehicles were deployed. The aircraft landed on Runway 25 without issue at 1721Z. A runway inspection was carried out. No impact on operations.
Update TSB #A19O0113: C-FMJO, a Viking DHC-6 Series 400 Twin Otter on amphibious floats, operated by Pacific Sky Aviation Inc. was conducting a flight from Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport (CYYZ), ON to Ottawa/Gatineau Airport (CYND), QC. On approach to CYND, the crew received a landing gear unsafe indication. The crew then declared an emergency and elected to divert to Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier Intl Airport (CYOW), ON where the aircraft landed safely with ARFF standing by.

C-FMJO, a Cessna 172, was on final to Runway 33 at Saskatoon after a flight from Russel, when the pilot advised Tower that he had lost engine power and was landing short. The aircraft landed approximately 1,000 feet short of the threshold and remained upright. There was no damage to the aircraft. Several aircraft were diverted to Runway 27. C-FMJO was removed to the apron at 1800Z. TSB reported that the pilot completed a forced landing in 6 inches of snow on level ground 400 feet short of the threshold of Runway 33, without further incident. The aircraft was towed to an AMO, and examination did not reveal any mechanical discrepancies. Temperatures were low and the pilot suspects that carburetor ice may have formed during the approach despite the use of carburetor heat.

RANS S12 ULTRLITE C-FMJO - SHORTLY AFTER TAKE-OFF, THE ENGINE FAILED AND THE A/C FORCED LANDED SAFELY ON A ROAD. THE ENGINE (ROTAX) FAILED DUE TO AIR IN THE COOLANT LINES CAUSING A VAPOUR LOCK. TIME = 2400Z. ACTION = TAR, TAH.
