Incident at WASHINGTON NATIONAL, VA (KDCA)

TSB Report #A20F0001: C-FIJZ, a Jazz Aviation LP CRJ-900 was conducting flight AC8624 from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl. (CYYZ), ON to Ronald Reagan Washington National (KDCA), VA. During initial approach and prior to landing gear extension, flight crew received a brake overheat warning indication from righthand outboard brake. Flight crew requested emergency services to be present upon landing. Fire department inspected the brakes prior to taxi in to terminal and found no indication of brake overheat. Maintenance found faulty sensor was the cause of indication.

Incident at SASKATOON / JOHN G. DIEFENBAKER INTL SK (CYXE)

C-FIJZ, a Lake LA-250 Renegade, departed Runway 27 at Saskatoon and shortly after, the pilot informed the Tower he was unable to retract the gear. He elected to return and landed without further incident at 2017Z. No assistance was required, AFF was not required and there was no impact to other aircraft. The cause of the gear problem is not known.
Maintenance and Manufacturing reported that the owner advised that the aircraft had a hydraulic pump failure. The gear was hand pumped down and the hydraulic pump replaced.
