Incident at Grace Lake, MB

MNS969 was issued an IFR clearance through Winnipeg FSS Island Lake direct Grace Lake to maintain 16000 when in controlled airspace. MNS969 did not contact Winnipeg ACC or FSS until descending out of 6000 on descent into Grace Lake. A BLS351 PC12 was held at The Pas at 17000 for approximately 5 minutes until contact was established with MNS969. OPI - Enforcement

The crew of BLS351, a BE99, returned to Thunder Bay airport with an unsafe gear indication. ERS were on standby. The aircraft landed safely at 1724Z.

Incident at en-route from Fort Hope to Thunder Bay

The aircraft (a Beech King Air operating as BLS351) was on an IFR flight from Fort Hope Airport (CYFH) to Thunder Bay Airport (CYQT). The aircraft was at 20,000 feet ASL when the flight crew reported that the aircraft's winshield had cracked. The flight crew advised that the aircraft was descening to 6,000 feet ASL under visual fllight conditions. The flight crew reported that the situation was under control. Winnipeg ACC was advised at 1545Z. The flight crew reported levelling the aircraft off and proceeding VFR to Thunder Bay. Ops. impact -- unknown.
