Update: The Door Indication micro-switch was inspected, cleaned, lubricated and checked serviceable. The aircraft was re-dispatched to St. John's. The following day the same aircraft departed Halifax for Yarmouth and the indication recurred. The aircraft returned without incident. Maintenance determined that the micro-switch bracket was cracked and this allowed the switch to move out of adjustment causing a false indication. The aircraft has been returned to service .
