A loud and clear emergency locator transmitter (ELT) signal was heard by an Air Canada Boeing 787-9 (ACA857) from London/Heathrow, United Kingdom (EGLL) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ), near La Tuque, QC (CYLQ) at FL400. The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) Trenton was notified. No impact on operations. The ELT source was identified as a Chrono Aviation Inc. Beech B300 (C-GJKA/NDL350) from La Macaza/Mont-Tremblant, QC (CYFJ) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ).

Mutual traffic information had been passed and both aircraft had the other in sight. No impact on operations.

Incident at 900NM NW EGLL - HEATHROW - LONDON

TSB Report #A19F0082: C-FSBV, a Boeing 787-9, was being operated by Air Canada as fight AC857 from Heathrow Airport (EGLL) to Lester B. Pearson Intl - Toronto (CYYZ). During cruise, the aircraft encountered continuous moderate turbulence, as well as a few moments of severe turbulence. All aircraft parameters were within limits. There were no injuries reported and flight continued to YYZ uneventfully. Maintenance completed the severe turbulence inspection and no faults were found.
