Incident at 51n/50w

ACA840 was on a flight from Toronto to Manchester when the crew reported a possible oil leak in the right engine. The quantity indicator showed a decrease in oil pressure and at one point started to fluctuate by about 3 to 4 litres. The indication then stabilized at 10 litres (23 litre capacity). The aircraft was diverted to St John's as a precaution where it landed safely, no assistance required. Maintenance topped up the oil tank with 6 litres of oil and verified that there weren't any leaks present. The oil consumption rate was also within limits so the aircraft was returned to service. Maintenance reported that there has been a number of faulty quantity indicating probes on this model aircraft and that the probe on C-GAVA would be replaced upon return to base. TSB closed.
