at MONTRÉAL / PIERRE ELLIOTT TRUDEAU INTL QC (CYUL)
Update #1: The TSB number and class of investigation were added. According to TSB report #A11Q0236: ACA669, an Embraer 175 operated by Air Canada, was on an IFR flight from Halifax/Stanfield Int'l (CYHZ), N.S., to Montréal Pierre Elliott Trudeau (CYUL), Que., with 62 passengers and 4 crew members on board. While the aircraft was on approach, the flaps were selected to the ?Flap 2? position, and the engine indications and crew alerting system (EICAS) issued the ?Slat Fail? message. The crew completed the checklist before landing the aircraft without incident with the flaps at 5° and the slats at 15°. No emergency was declared, and there were no injuries.
C-FEIX, an Embraer 170 operated by Air Canada as flight number ACA669, was on an IFR flight from Halifax (CYHZ) to Montréal/Trudeau (CYUL). At 2335Z, the crew reported a problem with the flaps and requested to abort the approach. No emergency was declared and no equipment was requested. The aircraft landed without incident at 2353Z. No impact on ATC operations.
