Incident at In the vicinity of: MONCTON CENTRE / ACC DE MONCTON
An American Airlines aircraft (AAL96) reported an issue with the number one generator and decided as a precaution to divert back to Philadelphia, PA (KPHL). No assistance required. No emergency. No impact on operations. Aircraft eventually descended into low level airspace and left the flight information region (FIR) at 0130Z.

An American Airlines Boeing 767-323 (N348AN/AAL96) from Philadelphia, PE (KPHL) to Budapest, Hungary (LHBP) advised of a hydraulic leak and requested to return to KPHL. Cleared as requested. No emergency. No traffic or impact to operations.

AAL96, Boeing 757-200, enroute from Boston (KBOS) to Manchester (EGCC), reported "NAV" problems and would require a return to Boston. No emergency was declared and no assistance was required. The aircraft entered Boston airspace at 01:30Z. Nil TSB.

AAL96, Boeing 757-200, enroute from Boston (KBOS) to Manchester (EGCC), had an "Engine Vibration Indication". The pilot requested a return direct to Boston. The controller gave the clearance as requested. The pilot advised that they were not declaring an emergency. Nil TSB.

Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)
A00A0174: The Boeing 767 aircraft, operating as AAL96, was en route from Chicago to Milano at a cruising altitude of FL340. At a position approximately 6 minutes east of 50W, the crew advised Gander ATC of a vibration, of unknown origin, in the floor on the right side of the aircraft between first and second class. The crew requested clearance for a diversion to KJFK, however, ATC were unable to issue a clearance due to traffic at all flight levels. The crew declared an emergency, offset to the right of course, and descended to FL290. ATC issued a traffic advisory to all affected aircraft and when AAL96 reached FL290, they were issued clearance to KJFK. The aircraft exited Canadian airspace without further incident.
