According to an automatic dependent surveillance – contract (ADS-C) report, an El Al Israel Airlines Boeing 787-9 (ELY027/4XEDK) from Tel Aviv, Israel (LLBG) to Newark, NJ (KEWR) was not following the route in its flight plan, that is, MOFAT ALB. The report indicated instead that the aircraft followed MOFAT HANAA ALB. When questioned, the aircraft confirmed that the flight plan had been entered incorrectly. No impact on operations.

Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)

An Air Canada Boeing 787-9 (C-FGDT/ACA85) from Ben Gurion Airport, Israel (LLBG) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ) on initial contact with terminal control unit (TCU) advised reverse thrust and brakes on left side were inoperable and requested Runway 15L for arrival. Aircraft landed safely at 2102Z and held on the runway for inspection. Impact: Due to this emergency, and simultaneous emergency (ACA001), arrival holding for approximately 10 aircraft, 10-15 minutes average. Departure delays for approximately 12 aircraft, up to 20 minutes.
Update TSB #A19O0105: C-FGDT, the Air Canada Boeing 787-900 aircraft (AC85) was at the top of descent when the flight crew received fault messages for left brakes, thrust reverser, and nose wheel bypass systems INOP. The flight continued the descent and declared a PAN PAN. The aircraft landed uneventfully Lester B. Pearson Intl - Toronto (CYYZ) with ARFF standing by. Maintenance replaced the #3 Remote Data Concentrator, and subsequent tests revealed no further faults.

No emergency was declared, however Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) standby services were requested for the arrival. ACA85 landed safely at 2208Z. No impact on operations.
Update TSB Report #A18O0173: C-FRSE, a Boeing 787-9 aircraft operated by Air Canada, was conducting flight ACA85 from Tel Aviv/Ben Gurion (LLBG), Israel to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl (CYYZ), ON. During cruise flight, the flight crew received a main landing gear low tire pressure indication. The flight continued to CYYZ and, during the descent, the flight crew requested ARFF on stand by to meet the aircraft upon landing. The aircraft landed uneventfully and stopped on the high-speed taxiway, waiting for maintenance to inspect aircraft. The operator’s maintenance found one tire deflated, and replaced both tires before allowing the aircraft to proceed to the gate.

Incident at 220NM W GOOSE BAY NL (CYYR)

UPDATE: TSB Report#A18A0001: 4X-ELA, a Boeing 747-400 aircraft operated by El Al, was conducting flight ELY008 from New York/John F Kennedy Intl airport (KJFK) to Tel Aviv/Ben Gurion, Israel (LLBG) with 22 crew members and 404 passengers on board. While in cruise about 220nm east of Goose Bay NL, the flightcrew received a fire warning for the wheel well. An emergency was declared and 4X-ELA diverted to Goose Bay, NL (CYYR). 4X-ELA landed without further incident. The aircraft stopped on the runway and firefighters confirmed that there was no fire. An additional examination was carried out by the firefighters after the aircraft had parked. The operator?s maintenance determined the warning to be an indication problem, and released the aircraft into service.
UPDATE: Aviation Incident Report#15190: an El Al Israel Airlines Boeing 747 400 (4XELA/ ELY008) from New York, NY (KJFK) to Tel Aviv, Israel (LLBG) reported a mechanical diversion. There was an indication of fire in the wheel well. The aircraft emergency was secured at 0816Z. A rescue aircraft picked up the passengers for their final destination.

Incident at TEL AVIV, ISRAEL (LLBG)

TSB Report#A17F0169: C-GHKR, an Airbus 330-300 aircraft operated by Air Canada, was conducting flight ACA83 from Tel Aviv/Ben Gurion, Israel (LLBG) to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl, QC (CYUL) with 12 crew members and 220 passengers on board. During the takeoff roll, the flight crew received a F/CTL PITCH TRIM / MCDU / CG DISAGREE ECAM message and rejected the takeoff at approximately 60 to 70 kts. While refueling during the pre-departure procedures, the fuel provider notified the flight crew that, since the Outside Air Temperature (OAT) was 34°C, the planned fuel configuration for the main tanks could not be met. The fuel configuration was re-calculated and the exceedance was loaded in the Trim Tank. The flight crew carried out a takeoff configuration check successfully, however the increased fuel burn following the application of takeoff thrust put the Centre of Gravity slightly beyond the limit.

At 2052Z, PK controller called QX controller to coordinate reroute for an El Al Israel Airlines Boeing 777 200 (ELY028) from Newark, NJ (KEWR) to Tel Aviv, Israel (LLBG) after 48N015W to OMOKO GUNSO instead of LASNO TAKAS. At 2053Z, QX controller called AZ controller to confirm flight level (FL) and coordinate reroute. QX advised AZ coordination (CDN) was sent. AZ advised QX, ELY028 wanted a new Mach of 82 and was going to send subsequent CDN. Subsequent CDN did not include reroute. QX accepted subsequent CDN and Gander Automated Air Traffic System (GAATS) was not updated with correct route. Manual coordination was done with PK for new Mach. At this point PK GAATS had routing of OMOKO GUNSO while QX GAATS and AZ system had routing of LASNO EMPER.

At approximately 0155Z, New York Oceanic informed Gander Oceanic that an El Al Israel Airlines Boeing 747 400 (ELY002) from New York, NY (KJFK) to Tel Aviv, Israel (LLBG) had declared Pan Pan because of a Bomb Threat. New York could not provide any additional information. The flight exited Gander Oceanic via 48N030W at 0335Z without further incident.
