At 1705Z, AFR136 was authorized via controller-pilot data link communications (CPDLC), DCT ODAXY. The air traffic controller (ATC) received a will comply (WILCO) message from AFR136. At 1721Z, an automatic dependent surveillance – contract (ADSC) indicated that AFR136 was not following the authorized route and was heading toward ROUND. No impact.

Kennedy, NY (KJFK) for repairs. The aircraft requested and was cleared to descended to FL300. At 0115Z, the aircraft declared an emergency and requested to divert to Boston Intl, MA (KBOS). Boston Area Control Centre (ACC) and Montreal (CYUL) low level advised. The aircraft did not require assistance, nor a fuel dump. No impact on operations. Aircraft left airspace at 0135Z to Boston air route traffic control center (ARTCC).
UPDATE TSB #A20Q0011: N864DA, a Delta Airlines Inc. Boeing 777-200 (DAL148), was on an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight from Las Vegas/McCarran Intl, NV (KLAS) to Paris/Charles de Gaulle, France (LFPG). At 0059Z, approximately 125 nautical miles (NM) northwest of Havre-Saint-Pierre, QC (CYGV), the crew declared that it had a pressurization problem, requested a descent to FL300, and also asked to divert to New York/John F Kennedy, NY (KJFK). At 0115Z, when the aircraft was 25 NM north of CYGV, the crew declared an emergency and asked to be diverted to Boston/ General Edward Lawrence Logan Intl, MA (KBOS). The flight was then transferred to the Boston Control Centre at 0135Z. The aircraft landed at KBOS at 0226z. There were no injuries.

There was a loss of separation for wake turbulence when an Austrian Airlines Boeing 767-300 (AUA74) from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to Vienna, Austria (LOWW) took off behind an Air Transat Airbus A330-200 (TSC258) from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to Paris/Charles de Gaulle Intl, France (LFPG). The distance between the 2 heavy-category aircraft was 3.7 NM, below the 4 NM separation. No other impact.
UPDATE TSB Report #A20Q0005: An Austrian Airlines Boeing 767-300 (AUA74) was on an IFR flight from Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to Vienna-Schwechat, Austria (LOWW). The takeoff from Runway 24L was conducted after an Air Transat Airbus 330-200 (TSC258) on an IFR flight from CYUL to Paris Charles de Gaulle, France (LFPG). A loss of wake turbulence separation occurred during the initial climb, when AUA74 was 3.7 nautical miles (NM) behind TSC258 even though the required separation was 4 NM. No wake turbulence was reported and the two aircraft continued their flights to their respective destinations without incident.

Approximately 3 hours 30 minutes after departure, the aircraft had a pitch trim stabilizer fault. Three resets were attempted however unsuccessful. Incident at MONTRÉAL / PIERRE ELLIOTT TRUDEAU INTL QC (CYUL)

An Air Canada Airbus A320 (ACA414) from Toronto/Pearson, ON (CYYZ) to Montreal/Trudeau, QC (CYUL) was being vectored behind heavy traffic, an Air Transat Airbus A330-300 (TSC111) from Paris/Charles de Gaulle, France (LFPG) to Montreal/Trudeau, QC (CYUL). The aircraft were being vectored for different runways but were in close proximity to each other. ACA414 was 4.2NM behind TSC111. TSC111 was established at 3000. ACA414 was cleared to 4000, and the readback was correct. ACA414 descended through 4000. At approximately 3400, air traffic services (ATS) detected the altitude deviation and issued a turn to avoid the wake turbulence from TSC111. ACA414 passed 4NM almost directly behind TSC111 before initiating the turn. The controller issued a wake turbulence cautionary. Both flights landed safely but the event caused delays on arrivals in CYUL.
TSB Update #A19Q0094: C-FKPT, an Air Canada Airbus 320-200, was on instrument flight rules (IFR) flight ACA414 from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl, ON (CYYZ) to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL). C-GKTS, an Air Transat Airbus 330-300, was on instrument flight rules (IFR) flight TSC111 from Paris/Charles de Gaulle, France (LFPG) to CYUL. ACA414 was being vectored by ATC for Runway 06R, behind TSC111, which was level at 3 000 ft ASL and also being vectored, but for Runway 06L. ACA414 was cleared to descend to 4 000 ft, and correctly read back the altitude. ATC detected an altitude deviation while ACA414 was at an altitude of 3 400 ft, and instructed the flight crew to make a turn to avoid wake turbulence from TSC111. Separation was reduced to 4 NM horizontally, while the required separation is 5 NM or 1 000 ft. The controller issued a wake turbulence warning, and the two aircraft landed without incident.

Air traffic services (ATS) instructed an Endeavor Air Bombardier CL-600-2D24 (series 900) (N314PQ/EDV5528) from Atlanta, GA (KATL) to Montreal/Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to pull up on Runway 24L because an Air France Boeing 777-200 (FGSPU/AFR349) from Montreal/Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to Paris, France (LFPG) had been slow in taking off. EDV5528 landed on Runway 24L at 0250Z.

A Boeing 777-333ER (C-FIVW/ACA870) from Montreal, QC (CYUL) to Paris, France (LFPG) received and read back clearance to FL330 and direct NEEKO. At 0144Z, air traffic services (ATS) noticed that ACA870 was not heading to NEEKO. ACA870 flew direct ANCER instead of NEEKO. No loss of separation and no impact on operations.
