A Delta Air Lines Boeing 777-200 (N864DA/DAL148) on a flight from Las Vegas Intl, NV (KLAS) to Paris/Charles de Gaulle, France (LFPG) reported having a pressurization issue and would divert to New York/John F. Kennedy, NY (KJFK) for repairs. The aircraft requested and was cleared to descended to FL300. At 0115Z, the aircraft declared an emergency and requested to divert to Boston Intl, MA (KBOS). Boston Area Control Centre (ACC) and Montreal (CYUL) low level advised. The aircraft did not require assistance, nor a fuel dump. No impact on operations. Aircraft left airspace at 0135Z to Boston air route traffic control center (ARTCC).
UPDATE TSB #A20Q0011: N864DA, a Delta Airlines Inc. Boeing 777-200 (DAL148), was on an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight from Las Vegas/McCarran Intl, NV (KLAS) to Paris/Charles de Gaulle, France (LFPG). At 0059Z, approximately 125 nautical miles (NM) northwest of Havre-Saint-Pierre, QC (CYGV), the crew declared that it had a pressurization problem, requested a descent to FL300, and also asked to divert to New York/John F Kennedy, NY (KJFK). At 0115Z, when the aircraft was 25 NM north of CYGV, the crew declared an emergency and asked to be diverted to Boston/ General Edward Lawrence Logan Intl, MA (KBOS). The flight was then transferred to the Boston Control Centre at 0135Z. The aircraft landed at KBOS at 0226z. There were no injuries.

The controller issued a line up 06L clearance with a visual departure for an Endeavor Air Bombardier CL-600-2D24 (EDV5536) on a flight from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl, ON (CYYZ) to New York/John F. Kennedy Intl, NY (KJFK) which was acknowledged by a WestJet Encore de Havilland DHC-8-402 (WEN3474) on a flight from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl, ON (CYYZ) to Ottawa/MacDonald-Cartier Intl, ON (CYOW). Both aircraft began the lineup when EDV5536 asked for clarification on who was departing. WEN3474 departed Runway 06L. A Sky Regional Airlines Embraer ERJ 170-200SU (SKV7531) on a flight from New York/La Guardia, NY (KLGA) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl, ON (CYYZ) was overshot due to EDV5536 being across the hold short line. SKV7531 landed at 2347Z. The operation was downgraded as a result.
UPDATE TSB Report #A20O0010: The controller issued Endeavor Air flight EDV5536, a Bombardier CL-600-2D24 (registration N232PQ) aircraft, a line up on Runway 06L clearance with a visual departure. The clearance was acknowledged by WestJet Encore flight WEN3474, a Bombardier DHC-8-402 (registration CGWEN) aircraft. Both EDV5536 and WEN3474 began to lineup Runway 06L. EDV5536 asked for clarification on who was departing when WEN3474 departed RWY 06L. Sky Regional flight SKV7531, an Embraer ERJ 170-200 SU (C-FRQW) aircraft, was overshot due to EDV5536 being across the hold short line.

Aircraft declared "mayday" and executed an immediate descent to FL290. No injuries or damage. No impact on operations. National Operations Centre (NOC) advised.
Update TSB Report #A20A0008: EI-GAJ an Airbus 330-300 aircraft operated by Aer Lingus was conducting flight EIN104 from John F Kennedy (KJFK) airport, New York, to Dublin airport (EIDW), Ireland. While in cruise at FL310 and approximately 50 NM NE of Halifax, Nova Scotia, the aircraft encountered severe turbulence. The crew declared a MAYDAY and immediately began a descent to FL290. There were no injuries to the crew or passengers nor damage to the aircraft. The aircraft continued to destination.

After an ASL Airlines Belgium Boeing 747-400 (OEIFD/TAY011) from New York/John F. Kennedy, NY (KJFK) to Halifax/Stanfield, NS (CYHZ) landed on runway, the field foreman advised there was debris on the runway and that it was closed until it could be swept. An Exploits Valley Air Service Beech 1900D (C-GUPW/EV778) from Fredericton, NB (CYFC) to Halifax/Stanfield, NS (CYHZ) on approach to Runway 05 had to divert to land on Runway 32 instead. A WestJet Encore Ltd. de Havilland DHC-8-402 (C-FENO/WEN3484) from Halifax/Stanfield, NS (CYHZ) to Sydney, NS (CYQY) delayed taxi for a few minutes as well. No other operational impact.

No emergency declared and crew was troubleshooting the issue. At 0240Z, the flight advised Gander (QX) Area Control Centre (ACC) that they were returning to KATL and turned westbound. The flight descended to 14 000ft and requested routing to New York/John F. Kennedy, NY (KJFK) as a new destination. No impact to operations.

An Air Canada Airbus A320 (ACA326) from Calgary, AB (CYYC) to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL) and a Jazz de Havilland DHC-8-301 (JZA8754) from Val-dOr, QC (CYVO) to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau, QC (CYUL) were redirected to Runway 24R. After an inspection, no FOD was found. Runway 24L reopened at 2257Z.

The aircraft crossed the inbound track at approximately 90 degrees and then executed a hard turn to intercept from the other side but was out of position. ENY3940 was re sequenced and vectored for Runway 06L, from the north side and failed to intercept twice, passing through from north to south and then from south to north. ENY3940 landed safety Runway 06L at 2210Z.

The tower instructed a Bombardier CL-600-2B19 (N8946A/EDV5531) from New York, NY (KJFK) to Montreal, QC (CYUL) to conduct a go-around while the aircraft was approximately 10 NM on final for Runway 06R due to an anomaly concerning the runway surface, reported by SAU7 during the runway inspection. EDV5531 landed on Runway 06L at 1725Z.

Kennedy, NY (KJFK) to Hong Kong (VHHH), Hong Kong, coming from Gander (QX), was treated as a duplicate and deleted. The changes made to CPA831s flight plan were then rejected by the Canadian Automated Air Traffic System (CAATS) in Montreal (UL). As a result, the route displayed on the UL CAATS did not match the route that CPA831 followed during the radar transfer from QX to UL. The profile was updated by air traffic services (ATS). No impact on operations.

An Endeavor Air Bombardier CL-600-2D24 (Series 900) (EDV5540) from New York/Kennedy, NY (KJFK) to Toronto/Pearson, ON (CYYZ) was instructed to turn to, and read back a heading of 040. EDV5540 was observed continuing to turn and when queried indicated they had been given a heading of 340. The controller immediately instructed EDV5540 to turn right to 090 and stop the descent at 3500 feet. Update TSB Report #A19O0097: C-GWEQ, a Westjet Encore De Havilland DHC-8-400 flight WEN3409 was conducting a flight from Quebec/Jean Lesage Intl. (CYQB), QC to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl. (CYYZ), ON and was approaching CYYZ. At the same time, N300PQ Endeavour Air a CRJ9 flight EDV5540 was inbound to CYYZ from New York/John F Kennedy Intl. (KJFK), NY. Air traffic control issued an instruction to END5540 to turn to a heading of 040 and the crew read back 040 to the controller. EDV5540 was observed continuing the turn to a heading of 340 and when questioned, replied that they were given 340 as a heading. The controller immediately gave EDV5540 a clearance to turn to a heading of 090 and to stop descent at 3500 feet above sea level. WEN3409 and EDV5540 came within 2.8 NM laterally and were at the same altitude. A minimum 1000 feet or 3 nm separation is required. Both flights landed uneventfully.

A Envoy Air Embraer E135 (N803AE/ENY3957) from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ) to Los Angeles, CA (KJFK), abeam LINNG at 14000 advised they had a pressurization issue, and requested a diversion to Buffalo, NY (KBUF). Flight was coordinated & handed off to KBUF Approach. ENY3957 landed in KBUF at 2147Z without further incident (WOFI). No Operational Impact.
