at 2NM WINNIPEG / JAMES ARMSTRONG RICHARDSON INTL MB (CYWG)
A Harvs Air Service Ltd. Cessna 172P (C-FSNV) from Steinbach (South), MB (CKK7) to Steinbach (South), MB (CKK7) was issued a left turn for sequencing, but subsequently turned right, conflicting with a Keewatin Air Beech 200 (C-GFOL/KEW210) from Thompson, MB (CYTH) to Winnipeg/James Armstrong Richardson, MB (CYWG) on final. The controller corrected the error, resulting in a short delay for KEW210. No other impact to operations. (Reference CADORS 2021C0203 / AOR 270688-V1)
UPDATE: TSB Report #A21C0008: C-FSNV, a Cessna 172P operated by Harvs Air Service, was conducting a VFR night flight from Steinbach (South), MB (CKK7) to Winnipeg/James Armstrong Richardson, MB (CYWG). The aircraft was cleared into the CYWG control zone, was instructed to maintain 2000 ASL, and was informed that Runway 31 was active and to maintain present heading. C-GFOL, a Beech 200 operated by Keewatin Air as flight KEW210, was conducting a flight from Thompson, MB (CYTH) to CYWG and was cleared for the right-hand visual approach for Runway 31. C-FSNV was instructed to make a left turn of 270 degrees and then join the left base for Runway 31. C-FSNV was observed making a right hand turn. KEW210 was on the approach for Runway 31 and was instructed to turn right to 090. Both aircraft had confirmed that they had each other in sight. KEW210 was instructed to maintain 2000 ASL and turn right for the downwind for Runway 31. C-GWCY, a Boeing 737-6CT operated by WestJet as WJA475, was conducting a flight from Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ) to CYWG. WJA475 was cleared for the approach to Runway 31 and a loss of separation occurred between KEW210 and WJA475 when WJA475 was on the approach. The separation was 2 miles and 900 feet when 3 miles and a 1000 feet is required. (Reference CADORS 2021C0203 / AOR 270688-V1)
