A CargoJet Airways Boeing 757-223 (C-FGKJ/CJT1891) from Havana/José Martí, Cuba (MUHA) to Hamilton, ON (CYHM) reported possible bird strike on departure. A Swoop inc. Boeing 737 MAX 8 (WSW171) from Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) to Hamilton, ON (CYHM) was inbound shortly after, maintenance (MTC) only had a short time to inspect the last portion of the runway and found nothing. After WSW171 landed, they also advised of a probable bird strike. MTC had time to inspect the full runway and found 3 dead barn swallows on R30 at the Charlie intersection and one more bird a bit further down the runway.

An Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-114 (C-GBIM/ROU1707) from Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ) reported a bird strike after landing on Runway 05. An Air Canada Boeing 787-9 (C-FVNB/ACA881) from Zurich, Switzerland (LSZH) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson, ON (CYYZ) was instructed to initiate a missed approach to Runway 05. Nothing was found by the inspection vehicle. ACA881 landed on Runway 05 at 1747Z without further incident (WOFI). No impact to operations.

A 12718936 Canada Inc. Bernier G-BAIR 6T (C-GDBG) from Hamilton, ON (CYHM) to Hamilton, ON (CYHM), a Warplane Museum aircraft, started their take-off roll on Runway 30 and reported a pilot-initiated rejected take-off due to part of their canopy blowing off at 1422Z. A Kalitta Charters Learjet 45 (KFS58) on a MEDEVAC flight from Hamilton, ON (CYHM) to Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) was lined up in position for Runway 30 and was informed of the delay due to foreign object debris (FOD) on the runway. A WestJet Boeing 737-700 (WJA585) from Hamilton, ON (CYHM) to Calgary, AB (CYYC), taxiing out for a departure off of Runway 30, was informed of a delay in sequence. Maintenance (MTC) came out and cleared the main intersection. KFS58 departed from Runway 24 at 1435Z, and had required a runway change after they were lined up in position. The re-position to a new departure runway resulted in a delay of over 10 minutes. WJA585 departed from Runway 24 at 1440Z and required a runway change, and also had about a 10 minute delay.

A WestJet Boeing 737-8CT (C-GWWJ/WJA630) from Calgary, AB (CYYC) to Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) reported a possible bird strike (hawk) upon landing on Runway 21, at approximately 0925Z. The field foreman was dispatched and advised that no remains were found. No impact on operations.

An American, privately registered Maule MX-7-180AC from Yarmouth, NS (CYQI) to Charlottetown, PE (CYYG) landed at Halifax/Shearwater, NS (CYAW) without communication with or approval from air traffic control (ATC). The pilot reported a possible engine issue and advised that the landing was precautionary. The aircraft also entered Halifax terminal airspace without establishing communication. The aircraft landed at CYAW at 2058Z and departed the facility at 2106Z. No emergency or impact to operations.

A Government of Canada, Department of National Defence Agusta Westland EH 101 (TSKR905) from Greenwood, NS (CYZX) to Summerside, PE (CYSU) was cleared out of controlled airspace via the area navigation (RNAV) 23 approach in CYSU. At 1NM final and 400 feet above sea level (ASL), the aircraft was observed in a 90-degree left turn and tracking southeast (SE) bound towards Charlottetown, PE (CYYG). The crew did not advise the controller to expect this change and the controller had no expectation of what was going to happen next. Another aircraft was about to be delayed going into CYYG and was able to locate the aircraft on 126.7 MHz to determine their intentions.
