A de Havilland DHC-8-402 (C-GKUK/JZA8909) from Moncton, NB (CYQM) to Montreal, QC (CYUL) asked if it could descend due to a cabin depressurization problem. The situation was stable at 8 000 ft. An emergency was declared. JZA8909 continued its flight to CYUL where it landed without incident on Runway 06L at 0102Z. No impact on operations
Update TSB #A19Q0052: C-GKUK, a Bombardier DHC-8-400 aircraft operated by Jazz Aviation LP, was conducting flight JZA8909 from Greater Moncton Roméo Leblanc Intl (CYQM), NB to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl (CYUL), QC with 4 crew members and 61 passengers on board. During cruise flight at 16 000 feet, the aircraft experienced a loss of cabin pressure, accompanied by a loud popping sound heard from the back of the aircraft. The flight crew donned their oxygen masks, initiated an emergency descent to 10 000 feet, and declared a PAN PAN. The flight continued to destination without further incident. The operator’s maintenance identified a leak from a faulty cargo door seal.

An Air Canada Airbus A330-300 (ACA419) from Montreal/Trudeau, QC (CYUL) to Toronto/Pearson, ON (CYYZ), which was on a heading of 280 and climbing to FL200, was instructed to fly direct MELTI. Fifty seconds passed before the beginning of the turn. The result was a loss of separation with a Jazz Bombardier CL-600-2B19 (series 200) (JZA8851) from Moncton/Roméo LeBlanc, NB (CYQM) to Ottawa/Macdonald–Cartier, ON (CYOW), which was abeam and descending to FL210. The paths were therefore divergent. No impact on operations.
Update - TSB Report #A19Q0013: C-GFAJ, an Air Canada Airbus A330-300, was on instrument flight rules (IFR) flight ACA419 from Montreal/Pierre Elliot Trudeau Intl., QC (CYUL) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl., ON (CYYZ). While it was climbing to FL200, the flight crew was instructed to proceed direct MELTI. 50 seconds passed before the beginning of the turn. Consequently, its separation with C-GGJA, a Jazz Aviaton LP Bombardier CRJ-200 on flight JZA851 to Ottawa/MacDonald-Cartier Intl., ON (CYOM), was reduced to 4.7 miles laterally, while the standard is 5 miles. The paths of the aircraft were divergent.

An ABC Aerolineas Airbus A320 (AIJ2830) from Mexico City, Mexico (MMMX) to Toronto/Pearson, ON (CYYZ) was cleared for the instrument landing system (ILS) Runway 24R and flew through the localizer. An Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319 (ROU1501) from Moncton, NB (CYQM) to Toronto/Pearson, ON (CYYZ) was established on the visual for Runway 23. The controller had pointed out traffic to both flights. AIJ2830 was instructed to turn left immediately and ROU1501 was instructed to turn right and climb. Nearest approach was 1.5NM laterally and 400 feet vertically. ROU1501 landed on Runway 23 at 1107Z and AIJ2830 landed on Runway 24R at 1102Z. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed. No other operational impact.

While enroute, at 15NM from the Beauce (St-Georges) (VLV), QC, very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR), a Porter Airlines Inc. de Havilland DHC-8-402 (POE252) from Moncton, NB (CYQM) to Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) declared a PAN PAN due to a flat tire that occurred during takeoff at CYQM. POE252 requested assistance for their landing. Coordination was executed. POE252 landed on Runway 32 at 2027Z without issue. Impact: Runway 14/32 at CYOW was unavailable from 2027Z to 2039Z. Nine other aircraft (RSRCH01, WJA608, ACA338, ACA358, WEN3468, MPE437, ASQ4351, POE255 and FAB861) experienced delays on arrival. The National Operations Centre (NOC) and the Aviation Operations Centre (AVOPS) were advised.
