En route, ACA885 requested to travel to Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW)mbecause KBOS was no longer accepting a diversion. ACA885 declared an emergency as CYOW was also no longer accepting a diversion. Coordination completed. ACA885 on the ground at CYOW without incident at 2225Z. National Operations Centre (NOC) and Aviation Operations Centre (AOC) notified.

A Loganair Bell 407 (LOGC409) from Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) to Kingston, ON (CYGK) changed its departure time on an active flight plan (FP) while it was between two "area of responsibility" (AOR) units. Aeronautical fixed telecommunications network (AFTN) messages had been exchanged (Quebec(YQB) and London (YXU) flight information centres (FICs)) on the Flight Service Station Information Management System (FIMS). The FP was inadvertently cancelled while in a proposed state. LOG409 took off from CYOW and no VFR flight plan was activated. Subsequently, the FP was reactivated and alerting services were reinstated until the end of the flight.

An Air Inuit de Havilland DHC-8-314 (C-FAID/AIE880) from La Grande Rivière, QC (CYGL) to Inukjuak, QC (CYPH) departed from Runway 31 while a Keewatin Air Beech B200 (C-FSKX/KEW205) from Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) to La Grande Rivière, QC (CYGL) was 5 NM final for Runway 13 at 1314Z. The flight service station (FSS) stated twice that there was another aircarft on the opposite runway with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) of one hour. KEW205 aborted its approach and landed at 1316Z. AIE880 stated that it heard that the other aircraft was on final for Runway 31.

A Federal Express Corporation Airbus A330-600F (FDX152) from Montreal/Mirabel, QC (CYMX) to Ottawa/MacDonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) departed from Runway 24 at 1413Z with the standard instrument departure (SID). They were cleared to 5000 feet and instructed to turn to heading (HDG) 310 at 3000 feet by the terminal. A Richcopter Cessna 150M (C-FTOD) from Ottawa/Gatineau, QC (CYND) to Drummondville, QC (CSC3) was 6NM west of CYMX, at 5500 feet, VFR assigned and eastbound. At 1415Z, traffic was exchanged to FDX152. FDX152 reported the traffic in sight, and immediately after, reported a resolution advisory (RA) with a slight descent. FDX152 descended to 4800 on their RA and then, once the RA was resolved, they were climbed and cleared on course. No impact on operations.

After receiving and correctly reading back standard instrument departure (SID) CYOW4, an American, corporately registered Beech B200 (N299MK) from Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) to Des Moines, IA (KDSM) was observed turning left to heading 351 when the SID calls for a climb along the runway centreline. Impact on operations: separation reduced to 0.7 NM with an Ottawa Flying Club Cessna 172M (C-FRFQ) from Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) to Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) and to 0.9 NM and 800 ft with an Ottawa Flying Cessna 150L (C-FGSK) from Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) to Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) when taking off from Runway 25.

At Merko, a Flair Airlines Ltd. Boeing 737-800 (FLE326) from Calgary, AB (CYYC) to Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier, ON (CYOW) reported experiencing a green laser strike. The laser came from downtown Ottawa.
